Ber-Mazing Race makes the headlines

TODAYThe Ber-mazing Race Kids Edition, Clearwater Beach at noon on Saturday. It’s Bermuda’s rendition of NBC’s Amazing Race, where contestants in pairs search for clues and compete in challenges and or exercises, or assemble puzzles, or whatever is required to complete the race. The format of the race is known only by the clue committee. The race is open to children between the ages of eight and 14, and there are still a few spots left, registration can be completed at the event and there is a $20 registration fee per child. There will be prizes in each age group and t-shirts and certificates of participation given to all contestants.Stomp the Beach party. Doors open at 9 pm and the stepping starts at 11 pm. Tickets are $40 in advance, more at the door and are available at Secrets, Caesar’s Pharmacy, Music World and People’s Pharmacy. Special ferry service available tomorrow between Hamilton and Dockard for those attending Stomp the Beach at a cost of $5 each way.

Bermuda Drumline takes place at the Bermuda Sports Centre. For more information visit www.bermudadrumline.com. Tickets are $35 — $75, depending on seating while patrons pay $125.
